Choices

If the Taliban really wanted the U.S. out of it's country, that choice is theirs - not ours.  President Bush has stated clearly that there is one objective to this mission.  And it nowhere included the word "Muslim" or "Islam." 

What part of "hand over bin Laden" do your simple-to-the-point-of-being-retarded minds not understand?  "No bin Laden, no stop bombs.  Give us bin Laden, bombs stop."  It's a proposition that a five year old child could understand.  But I know they are not mentally challenged to that degree.  So how do we explain the bombing?  It's simple.  They CHOSE the bombing, and they continue to choose the bombing.

What?  Who would chose bombing?

We always assume that if the results are not good, we somehow didn't chose that option.  Fact is the Taliban CHOSE what they are receiving.  You may suggest that no one would CHOOSE to be killed, but in fact it happens all the time.  Choice is nothing more than choosing a path.  If you chose the wrong path, you are still on the wrong path and it does no good to deny the road by saying you meant the chose concrete instead of asphalt.

So when your citizens start asking you why they are being pelted by 500lb bombs, you explain to them how "choice" works.  I'm sure they will listen with rapt attention before they choose to beat your stupid brains out.

Civilian Deaths

Ho!  Ho!  Here's news!  The U.N. makes a "world announcement" that 4 of it's Afghan civilian personnel working in a mine-clearing operation were killed by American bombs. 

Now, the news isn't about whether or not they were engaged in a humanitarian effort or not.  No question,  they were.  The news is that they somehow were unaware that all of Afghanistan is being bombed?  Is the U.N. so damned stupid that they cannot warn their own people, and are these people themselves so ignorant that they really are unaware that their entire country is now at war, and maybe they should take cover and get away from military looking stuff like mine-sweeping equipment?

Completely aside from that obvious stupidity, this woman actually has the audacity to stand up in front of the world camera and say:

"four civilians died - America should take greater care to
distinguish military combatants from civilian non-combatants."

Excuse me, but there's this slight matter of  FIVE THOUSAND CIVILIAN NON-COMBATANTS lying DEAD under the ruins of the World Trade Center.

My feelings about your 4 dead Civilians?  How about   "Screw 'em.  Too bad, tough sh*t...   4,996 to go."  I don't give a flip about your poor civilians.  You gave not a flip about ours.

Attacked from Within
((Written about the time the anthrax letters started circulating - I happen to beleive they are domestic in nature and have nothing to do with Bin Laden - at least not directly...))

These attacks are coming from within.  These "people" (I use the word grudgingly) are already here.  They are walking among us.  Those jetliners were hijacked from American airports.  Those anthrax tainted letters were mailed from U.S. Postal Service mailboxes.  Biological... violent paramilitary... What's the difference?  Terrorism is terrorism.  And it's being done by people who already live in this country. 

A message to those people: DON'T PUSH YOUR LUCK.  Americans are resilient, tolerant (kinda), and generally forgiving.  But there's a threshold that you do NOT want to cross, and there's an undercurrent and you do NOT want to be swept up by.  If you keep up this sort of domestic terrorism, you are going to end up killing thousands of your own brothers and sisters who live in this country because Americans, tolerant and forgiving as they are, will kick your friggin' a$$es if you push us too far.  You may think you are sowing the seeds of a "holy-war" against the "evil American Satan Empire" when in fact you will be reaping the whirlwind of destruction on the heads of your own brothers and sisters who live here in America, and ultimately on yourselves.  Remember, there are over 250 million guns in the hands of American Citizens.  Don't even THINK about trying your crap here. Remember: America is the only country in the world to have actually USED nukes.  I cannot speak for George Bush, but I would wager this.  He may or may not be inclined to nuke your whole damned country into a huge pile of strangly sparkling glass beads, but if you keep this up, especially if we find any link between you and this Anthrax crap, the American people will DEMAND it, and well, you know how politics and public opinion polls go 'round these parts.  If you are thinking "Bush won't do that..." don't forget that it may not be up to him... Again, Don't push your luck .  And don't count on U.S. Public Opinion to save you from a toasty 5,000 degree Sunday afternoon.  And don't count on American tolerance to provide a cover or safe-haven for you within our own borders.  Uncle Sam may not see you, but you can bet your ass Bubba next door does.  Don't provoke him.

Is Islam really peaceful?

We hear a lot about how most Muslims and most Islamic Clerics condemn what happened in New York in the name of Islam. 

But more and more, I'm seeing headlines like "10,000 Muslims praise bin Laden in India, chanting 'DEATH TO AMERICA', " and "Anti-US Protesters take the streets in <insert name of just about any third world, asian or mid-eastern country you like here>."

Then I hear again about how peaceful Islam is.  Really?  Is it?  It seems that a considerable portion of it disagrees with enough vim and vigor to take it to the streets.

So what am I to make of the "who knows how many" Islamics that live here in America? 

How likely is it that every single country with an Islamic population has tens of thousands of Muslims ready to join bin Laden and wage war on the "evil U.S." while at the same time almost every single Muslim in THIS country is a peace-loving, mild-mannered, Muslim?  Don't those odds seem a bit stacked?

I suppose it is perfectly possible that most Muslims in America are peaceable because they live here and see first hand what America is actually about, whereas all others have to rely on what they are told by others.  There's a certain propaganda factor at work in other countries that cannot be put into effect here.

 One thing is clear, however.  Islam is anything but peaceful and tolerant.  It is pretty obvious to all by now, that Islam's prime directive is the destruction and eradication of anything that is not Islam.  Specifically, that means Israel.

Islam's beef is not so much with the U.S. as it is with our support of Israel.  It is Israel that is really at the center of this mess.  We were attacked because we support Israel.  But let me just tell all of Islam: you are playing with fire. 

You tamper with Israel at your own peril!  Don't be suprised when you get burned.

Personally, I cannot beleive they have been so patient with Islam and have endured so much at their bloody hands without retaliating more than they have.

By the way.  For the record: I AM NOT PEACABLE.

Bush, Israel, and Palestinians

The last time I looked, the West Bank and Gaza are within the borders of Israel.  Like it or not, them's the facts.

That makes unruly Palestinians to Israel, exactly, and I mean exactly, what Mohamed Atta was to the United States: a parasitic cancer living in the body, waiting to rupture and spew poison into the rest of the body.  For President Bush to demand the withdrawal of Israeli troops from it's own country is nonsensical.  How do you withdraw troops from your own country?

I see no difference between Israel extinguishing a terrorist uprising in it's territory and The U.S. sending in troops (or cops) into Trenton, New Jersey, to arrest this dickhead who is sending Anthrax in the mail from that state.  No difference.

Respectfully speaking, Mr. President, Israel has every right, and every obligation to do "whatever it takes" (remember THAT quote, Mr. President) to remove its OWN terrorist threat that we have to remove ours!

Ordinarily, I don't use appearances as a guide.  But that has limits. For crying out loud, would you LOOK at this boob?  His intelligence looks about as deep as the teflon coating on a $10 frying pan!  He looks about as competent to speak for a nation as Mr. Ed.  And would YOU trust this guy next to him to be YOUR translator?  And, speaking of the "evil western Satan..." how exactly did "Ratib" learn to speak English?  It wouldn't be from exposure to, and some time spent in that "evil Satan" would it?

And did you notice how many of these Afghan a$$holes wear glasses?  So modernism is out.  Oh yeah, except for that part of it that suits us.  And television is EVIL, but we don't mind seeing ourselves on it giving our "statements."  And stereo music is bad - but stereo blasting of our mind-numbing blather from the rooftops, well, that's OK.  And watches.  Watches are OK.  And did we mention electric lights?  And, Oh yeah!  Satelite telephones are cool!  And video camcorders!  We LOVE video camcorders.  It's just the people who MADE all these things that are evil.  And the people who use them are evil too unless they are Taliban making "statements" - then it's OK.

Folks, please!  These "people" (if you can call them that) are the very textbook definition of hypocrasy!  It's ALL evil, unless it suits us or furthers our cause.  Then we make exceptions.  YOU cannot make exceptions, and we will beat the sh*t out of you on the streets if you try - but we, WE, are above our own law.  We are above our "god's" law.

In MY religion, we have an explanation for this type of behaviour:

Can I ask Abdul a question?  If your god is so weak that he needs your help, and needs you to fight his battles, why do you follow such an emaciated, weakling of a god?  Is your god so weak that he needs your help?  That's pretty bad, man.  I'd reasses my loyalties if I were you.  What kind of "ominpotent" god needs the help of some weakling mortal man?  How can he be "almighty" if he cannot protect his own name?

Age begats Wisdom

As part of my job, I drive, every week, more than the entire height of the country of Afghanistan to get to my job.  I live in Oklahoma, and I work, for the time being, in Ohio.  (By the way, I do not drive because I fear flying - I fly frequently elesewhere.  I drive to Cincinnati because when I go there, I go there on less than a day's notice sometimes, and flying on the day you book a ticket can cost $1000 or more instead of the $250 if you plan a week in advance.  So if you are a coward [er, uh, terrorist], don't think for a moment that you have deterred me from flying).  That gives me a lot of time to listen to the radio, and one station I can count on finding - at some place or another on the dial - is National Public Radio (NPR).  Generally speaking, I consider NPR's news coverage about the same quality as CNN - Communist New Network.  Liberal, left wing banter that I deal with because in some rural places between St. Louis and Louiville, there is literally nothing but farmland and NPR.

One thing I do like, in fact LOVE about NPR is the Prarie Home Companion radio show, where you can hear Garrison Keilor regale us with tales of rural America.  It really is a TOP NOTCH show, and I LOVE listening to it.

Garrison, in one of his Guy Noir dialoges today, made the following observation:  "Age doesn't always bring wisdom.  Sometimes Age comes alone."  How true.  For a long time, I toiled under the misconception that age brings wisdom.

That image was shattered a long time ago by voters in Florida, and the entire elderly population of Berkley CA.

But today, I was reading Yahoo News coverage and came across the following:

Thousands of Pakistani men, young and old, had massed in Temergarah on Friday night with assault rifles, machine guns, even rocket launchers. A few even carried axes and swords.

``I am an old man. I consider myself lucky to go - and to face the death of a martyr,'' said Shah Wazir, 70, a retired Pakistani army officer.

It saddens me, that even old age, and the experience it brings, is no help to some of these brainwashed masses.  They honestly beleive, for whatever f*cked up reason, that whatever beef they have within themselves and their religion, that is is perfectly OK to murder 5000 uninvolved civilians to make themselves feel better about themselves.

Christianity teaches us to respect our elders.  But these people are unrespectable no matter WHAT their age.  Read it again.  The guy thinks that no matter what the motive, if he dies he is dying the death of a martyr.  It doesn't matter to him that he is pursuing a dishonest and honourless death.  To him, if he dies at all, for any reason, he is a noble martyr.

But he is 70 years old.  There literally, and truthfully, is no way to disabuse a man of his age from the error, nay, STUPIDITY of his reasoning.  His own religion condemns his actions - I need not do it.

So the only thing I am able to do with him is grant his wish.  Hell, it makes no difference to me.  If he wishes to beleive that he will be a martyr and receive the reward of his 70-whatever virgins in the afterlife... who am I to argue?  He is beyond reason.  I, personally, will be more than happy to oblige him because there is, literally, nothing else I can do.

So go, ye old men.  Go to your death and your reward - I beleive it will be nothing like what you were expecting.  But I really don't care.  You have asked for it.

For you men of the armed forces on the ground in Afghanistan, if you kill this man, don't think for a moment that I will condemn you or feel any ill-will towards you at all.  You re only doing what he wanted you to do.  So that which ye do, do quickly.

I have been unequivocally supportive of the President in his determination to carry out further attacks on the Taliban during their holy month of Ramadan.  As I've seen it, their religion is FALSE and I feel no obligation to lend any credence to it by engaging in any observance of it ourselves. 

However,  There was a letter to the editors of USA Today on 7 November that I think makes a very good argument for a temporary cessation:

Because the war in Afghanistan is as much a psychological and ideological war as it is a military operation, America should stop bombing during Ramadan for these reasons:

-- If we stop the bombing, that action will strike a blow to the Taliban/Osama public relations campaign against the United States.

-- If the Taliban uses those weeks without bombing to enlist more troops and beef up it's resistance, the United States could convey the message to the world that the Taliban continued its war effort and maneuvers while America showed more respect for Ramadan than it did.

-- It would be very tough on the Taliban psychologically, in my view, to have the bombing stop for 4 weeks and have a "peaceful period," knowing that the bombing would begin again on a certain date.

Periods of quiet are a psychological technique used in interrogation to break down the enemy's resistence and determination, because the anticipation of another round of attack is so debilitating.

 This letter really made some good points, and I have to say that I agree.  And aside from that, if the time is spent ammasing more troops, well, masses of troops are one of the easiest things to eliminate in a war on terrorism.  I think they themselves are discovering that with our recent introduction of the Fuel/Air ("Daisy Cutter") bombs that have been introduced into the theatre.  And we can make things only get worse for them from there.

Additionally, we can use the time to bolster our own domestic defenses.  And if the Taliban see fit to engage in major offensives during that time, a B52, or a C130 with a rear opening cargo door is never more than a few hours away.

After a long hiatus from this page, I've brought it back to make one more comment.

I took this page off my site in mid-December, having pretty much said what I wanted.  Well, it's back.  I have another comment that needs to be made.  It regards Daniel Pearl, specifically his death, and more specifically (again) this problem I have with Islam.  Farther down in this list, I wrote on the topic of "Is Islam Really Peaceful?"  This comment merely expounds on that.

Yes, I am a Jew... and my father was a Jew!

At least one news article I read mentioned that Pearls last words were "Yes!  I am a Jew and my father was a Jew!"  just before his throat was slit.

These seem unusual words for a man about to be executed, unless perhaps he didn't know he was about to be executed.  It was suggested that perhaps he was forced to say this.  But a man about to be executed isn't going to give that satisfaction to his executioner unless he thought it would spare him or buy him more time.  And especially that bit about "... and my father was a Jew" make it all the more unlikely.

Here's what I think happened.

Pearl was given no indication that he was about to be killed.  Instead, seemingly as part of ongoing "interrogation" or torture, it was demanded that he say "I am a Jew and my father was a Jew."  Thinking that this was just more abuse and that it would pass if he complied, he said it.  Immediately thereafter, his throat was cut open, causing him to bleed to death. 

Why?  Because his captors, knowing full well what they were about to do, wanted to apply the coup-de-tat to the "jew pig" who by his own admission was an "infidel" from a long line of "infidels."   It's like the particularly evil people who take perverse pleasure in making  their victims watch themselves being tortured, or watching their loved one's being killed in order to heighten the perverse pleasure they take in the act.  And, it elevates their "position" among their peers to be seen snuffing a man, who by his own admission, is "evil" and is flaunting it.  Having him say these words (while editing out the context in which they were made) made him appear to be arrogant and self-righteous and deserving of immediate execution.

That's why the odd "continuance" of "...and my father was a Jew!" is so especially unusual.  Who, facing execution, would think to say that?  It's possible that he DID know what was coming, and in a strong, final act of defiance struck out verbally at his oppressors.  If this is the case then I praise Daniel highly for his fortitude and courage.  But I think it was not.

That's why it was a knife instead of the gun we saw in earlier pics.  It needed to look like the slaughter of a pig, an animal not even worthy of a bullet.  It needed to look like "fitting" justice.  And all this depends on Daniel arrogantly claiming "I am a Jew and my father was a Jew!"  He needed to appear to be saying "I am superior to you scum" so that his immediate slaying would look like a praiseworthy act of justice to the perverted assholes whom they would later brag to.

So ultimately, Pearl was deceptively coerced into saying something that would appear dramatically and flagrantly inflamatory so that his execution would then appear just and even righteous in the eyes of the executioner's peers.

So what's my comment? 

Pretty much more of the same anti-Islamic rant.  These people used lies and deception to coerce what amounts to a "false statement of guilt" from a man they had helplessly chained, then killed him in a particularly brutal manner while filming it using "evil" technology tools they obtained from the "evil" infidels (typical Islamic hypocrasy), and then sought to elude capture.  And their "god" is perfectly A-OK with this - peachy!.  Their "god" has no problem at all with dishonesty, lies, deception, murder, and careless regard for life.  Their "god" is a joke who deserves to be slain in the same manner that they slew this man - like a pig.

Let's not forget that these Isamics are of the same religion and persuasion as Osama itself.  This insideous, narrow-minded, ignorant, and truly dishonourable religious people is not limited to some small enclave of fringe lunatics.  No.  The fringe, in the case, is pretty much the whole blanket that covers a large part of the entire world.  Islam, in general, supports and condones this.  The religion of Islam may not, but a large number of Islamic peoples DO!  And while the "religion" itself is not a threat to anyone - a large number of it's brain-dead followers are!

So, what of these particular offenders?  I am tempted to conclude that they are nothing more than mere animals.  Not even human.  I don't think "human rights" apply to them (liberals and other morons: please direct contemptuous comments here).  Human rights are for people at least trying to be human, or at least civilized.  For God's sake, the Dark Middle Ages were more civil than this.  Cripes, the Vikings had more respect for life than these idiots.

What bothers me most is knowing what Pearl's last few conscious moments must have been like.  Without warning, while his hands are tied to his back, someone reaches around with a razor and cuts his throat wide open.  He undoubtely had time to see huge amounts of his own blood pouring out onto the floor beneath his face.  And while he lays there (hopefully for just a few seconds before lack of blood pressure to the brain mercifully causes him to black out) the people standing around just stand there watching.

In AMERICA we immediatly offer aid to anyone injured, no matter how slightly, and no matter what else they may have done.  That's because in AMERICA we take the sanctity of the life that God has created VERY seriously.  That's because in AMERICA we are better than you - superior in every way.  And you don't have to deceive me or torture me to make me say it.  America is a better country, and Americans are better people than you. You assholes, on the other hand, having no regard for the life your own "god" supposedly created, instead stand around and gleefully watch a helpless man man die.  Even if he was what you claim, he STILL did you no harm.  Look me in the eye and tell me how much harm he did to you with his hands bound and a gag in his mouth. You are self-righteous, cowardly hypocrits who are not deserving of life or "human rights" and I hope you are soon relieved of both.

What do you notice about this photo?

What *I* notice is the "supposed infidels" are unmasked and plainly viewed, and that their "supposedly superior" captors are not.  This is a photo taken by Muslim extremists in (I think it was) the Philippines.  These are two Christian missionaries that were captured.

Notice, however, that their captors do not expose THEIR faces.  That's because they are COWARDS!

This is the face (or NOT) of radical Islam.  I'm begining to wonder if it is the face only of "radical" Islam.

Folks, how much sense does it make to enlist soldiers who are Islamic when fighting a war against Islamic people?  And make no mistake - this is a war against Islamic people.

Does it sound at all unreasonable to say that if a man has purposely CHANGED his name to "Abu Ali-Baba" that perhaps we ought to take a wee bit closer look at his reasons?

Let me put it this way.  If your name is Abu Ali-Baba, or if you claim to be Muslim, you should be thrown out of the UNITED STATES ARMED SERVICES.  If your name is Abu Ali-Baba, and you want to be in the UNITED STATES ARMED SERVICES, then change your name to Frank Smith, drop the stupid "Allah Akbar" crap, and maybe we'll talk.

Spain gets a taste of the "treatment" and turns-tail and surrenders.

Hey Spain!  Welcome to the real world.  Are you Spaniards or Frenchmen???? 

You've just validated everything Osama Bin Laden stands for.  Just employ enough violence and you can get anything you want!  Do you think that by capitulating your are sparing yourself?  Next, they will want special representation in your government.  

If you don't give it to them, they will blow up some more trains.  Then, after you have given it to them, they will demand "religious concessions and special treatment for Islam."  If you don't give it to them, they will blow up some more trains.  Then, after you have given it to them, they will begin taking over your government.   If you don't give it to them, they will blow up some more trains.  Then, after you have given it to them, they will institute Islamic Law in your country... etc etc etc.....

Do you not realize that the ultimate goal of Islam is WORLD DOMINATION.   You will have peace only when you have wrapped your heads in towels, grown full beards, beaten your wives into submission and covered them from the top of their heads to the bottom of their feet in long blue sheets.

Their intent is to eventually take over your government, and your people, and make you like Afghanistan.  If you give Islam everything, you will reach a point where it's "convert or die..."

I wonder which you will choose?

It's a shame and an irony - my favourite carry firearm is my Astra Model A-100 .45acp - made in, of all places, SPAIN!  Go figure!

I wrote earlier in my Daniel Pearl entry that Americans are superior in every way to the likes of the Palestinian and bin Laden-esque Arabs of the world. 

Let me just introduce some photographic proof. 

May I?

I knew when I saw that man walking over that rubble that he was gonna end up falling down trying to carry that man out.  And sure enough, a later photo showed just that.

May I point out that the man being carried by this evil Western white infidel is obviously an Arab of some type. 

And I hope the fellow will forgive me, but I have to note that he appears to be a slightly "hefty" middle aged white man who is obviously huffing and puffing a good bit in his labour.  The strain and exertion of this almost certainly increased his risk of suffering a heart attack.  But I bet you an AMERICAN dollar that the thought didn't even cross his mind before he picked up this man to CARRY him.

What Palestinian would have done the same?  I think NONE.  What Al-Quida a$$hole?  I think none.

What American?  I think just about ANY OF THEM!

And while I feel pity for the victim, I even doubt that HE would have done the same for this evil Western white infidel.    But it would do my heart good to be proven wrong on this one.

This next entry  contains VERY graphic images of the Nick Berg MURDER!  Do not scroll down any farther if you do not want to see these still images.

But if you can bear it, you SHOULD look at it.

To begin with, it has become apparent that Nick had been warned no less than THREE times by the FBI go get the hell out of Iraq, so I have limited sympathy for him.  That said...

On the one hand, you complain that your nekkid bare ass is seen on TV.  You complain that you have been humilliated and 
embarrased (er, em-bare-assed).  On the other hand, there is this:

This is somehow OK?  This is BETTER?

I've seen interviews with Islamic clerics on TV in which they state, plainly, that Islam does NOT tolerate or condone this sort
of MURDER.  And I WANT to beleive them.  I WANT to beleive there ARE Muslims that are peaceful, and I WANT to beleive
that there CAN be a peaceful religion of Islam.  BUT...

In my religion, it is taught that if you are a true follower, then your life should exhibit some sort of EVIDENCE!  And that if there
is no evidence, then there is no faith.  The masked COWARDS you see in these images, supposedly, do not represent Islam.
But unfortunately, here's the truth:

IT DOESN'T MATTER whether they represent Islam or not.  Muslims EVERYWHERE are going to begin DYING if this sort of
crap doesn't STOP!  You can only say "WASN'T ME" for so long before we begin to ask the question "Oh yeah?  Show us the
damned evidence!"

So far, the evidence doesn't seem to support the hypothesis.

So your poor nekkid ass got shown on TV!  Oh, you poor diddums!  Can I show you these pics?  How about a few of
Daniel Pearl getting HIS head sawed off!  How about pics of dozens, hundreds of people leaping to their deaths from the heights
of the World Trade Center?  How about the pics seen earlier in this journal?

Right now, we have an entire generation of Arab CHILDREN being taught (er, brainwashed) that it's just GREAT to strap explosives
on your body and go blow up a bunch of other children.

If these people do not represent YOUR Islam, then you have only a LIMITED amount of time to find them and stop them before
someone else does it for you.  And make no mistake, a LOT of YOU will get taken out with them.  And I will shed no tears, and
lose no sleep.  I'm tempted to help!

You should understand something about American Politicians.  They are, well, political creatures.  Even when we have a President
who beleives in acting on principle, he will be restrained by public opinion.  If the tide of that public opinion turns too far for him to
ignore, he will do what he feel he has to do.  And if he won't, then re-read my earlier post about "Bubba."  'Cause HE sure as hell
WILL.

As for me, I'm straddling the fence right now.  I WANT to beleive that Muslims can peacefully co-exist with the rest of humanity
but I'm not sure.  And I'm not sure we have much longer to wait to find out.  The photos above don't seem to be working in your
favour.  It always seems that when we compare photos of the supposed "atrocities" we always seem to be comparing photos of
people being made ASHAMED compared to people being made DEAD.

If it were left to me, at this point, I'd be much more in favour of your ass being DEAD than exposed.  So don't push your luck!

I was initially as shocked as everyone else when I first saw the prisoner "abuse" photos.  But I'm finding it harder to
really fault them the more of this crap that I see.  Maybe you DESERVE this treatment?  Did that thought ever cross
your pea-brain, dipshit?

Until I see the evidence to the contrary, I'm afraid THIS represents Islam to me!  And it's high time for a house-cleaning!

Basra, British soldiers captured, vehicles fire-bombed, rescue and return.

According to the BBC, here's the summary of how it all happened:

Two British soldiers, dressed as Arabs were stopped by Iraqi Police at a checkpoint at which time
a gunfight ensued, the soldiers killed a couple of Iraqi's before they were captured (or arrested,
depending upon how you look at it) and taken to jail.
